Set within the fabulous grounds of the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, the day is a fantastic opportunity to learn the basics of Polo and introduce newcomers to the game. Non riders are welcome as this is meant to be a fun introduction to Polo for people of any riding ability. All of our ponies are specifically selected for their excellent manner and our instructors are of the highest standard.
The Introduction includes theory, rules, hitting/swing practice, polo riding, stick & ball and finally a mini game of chukkas. The day starts with watching a Professional Polo Match at the Club, followed by polo tuition with professional polo players and qualified instructors.

Hitting techniques on wooden horse
Mounted on a wooden platform instructors teach the basic polo swing and hitting
Polo Riding & Stick & Ball
On horseback instructors teach the commands necessary to control your Polo Pony and you continue your polo swing and practice
- 12:00 Chukka Challenge – a mini game of Polo
Group is split into teams of four to play against each other – under constant instruction & supervision - 13:00 You can picnic or get lunch from the cantina at the club, you are welcome to stay and use the club facilities for the whole day, there will be plenty of polo to watch.
